Phase – II

Semi Final

  • Top 20 in every age group and every category in a State shall go to Final
  • Contestants other than winners will receive State Level Participation Certificate/s.
  • Date of Competition – 09th October 2026 between at 11.00 am and 11.30 am
  • Competition Venue– At Chennai – address will be informed later.

Phase – III

Final

  • Top 3 in every age group and every category will be announced as the winners of the Numeracy Championship.
  • Contestants other than winners will receive National Level Participation Certificate/s.
  • Date of Competition – on 14th November 2026 between at 10.00 am and 10.30 am
  • Competition Venue – At Chennai – address will be informed later.

Rules

Numeracy Championship Rules

Syllabus as per Grade and Age

Group A: Grade 1 and Grade 2 (Age between 6yrs. and 7yrs. born after 01-01-2019)
Group B: Grade 3 and 4 (Age between 8yrs. and 9yrs. i.e., born between 01-01-2017 and 31-12-2018) 
Group C: Grade 5 and 6 (Age between 10yrs. and 11yrs. i.e., born between 01-01-2015 and 31-12-2016)
Group D: Grade 7 and 8 (Age between 12yrs. and 13yrs. i.e., born between 01-01-2013 and 31-12-2014)
Group E: Grade 9 and above (Age 14yrs. and above i.e., born before 31-12-2012)

Restriction

Contestants shall not be allowed to use any kind of Electronic Devices.

Limitation of Registration

There is no limitation to register the contestants. School can decide the number of contestants in every age group and number of categories. We suggest that registering at least 30 contestants in each category and every group may help to win the championship.

Cancellation and Refund

Cancellations and replacements of registered students are strictly not permitted once the registration is completed.
Registration details cannot be modified or altered after submission.
Registration fees are non-refundable under any circumstances, including cancellation or non-participation.

Competition Categories and Number of Each Category has 1 Paper only

1. Additions and Subtraction – 1 Paper only
2. Multiplication – 1 Paper only
3. Division – 1 Paper only

Each category has separate championship, contestants can select one or more categories to register. Each category to be registered separately and the fee to be paid separately for every category.

Time Limit of each category Objective Type only – Each sum 10Marks

1. Additions and Subtraction – 10min.
2. Multiplication – 10min. and
3. Division – 10min.

Important Points

Participants may register for all available categories, as each category constitutes a separate competition.
It is mandatory to select (tick) the respective category or categories at the time of registration.
Contestants will not be permitted to participate in any category that has not been selected during registration.
Schools and coordinators are advised to ensure all intended categories are correctly selected while registering students.
Cancellations are not permitted, and registration fees are non-refundable under any circumstances

Syllabus, Number of Sums and Time Limit to complete the Competition

The syllabus is designed group-wise, with each age group following a distinct syllabus structure.
Each category will have a separate set of questions and a dedicated time limit for completion.
Participants registered for multiple categories must attend each competition strictly according to the scheduled time slot assigned to the respective category.

School and Students Registration

School and student registration will commence on 10th June 2026 and will close at 23:59 hrs on 12th August 2026.
This is a one-time registration that allows students to participate in all levels of the competition, up to the Final Championships.

Allotment of Competition Centre

District Level Talent Hunt Competition Centre
Competition centres at the District Level will be allocated based on the number of students registered in various competition categories from each school.
Schools registering more than 500 students across the same or different categories may be designated as a competition centre for their students.
Students from these schools will not be required to travel to any other centre to participate in the competition.

Marks Evaluation

Award of Marks:
Marks will be awarded to every correct answer.

Negative Marks

Every wrong answer will have equal value of Negative Marks, which will be deducted from the total marks obtained.

Nil/Invalid Mark

No Tick marks i.e., Blank/Empty spaces will have neutral/zero value, it won’t be considered at all and not accountable.

Cash Awards

There are Cash Awards to National Champions, All the cash awards shall be distributed at the end of the Phase-III National Level competition.

Trophies only, No Cash Awards

Cash Awards will not apply when there are fewer than 5,000 contestants in a given every Age Group and in a every Category.
Achievement Trophies along with Certificates will be awarded in such cases.

Participation Certificate:

Every winner will receive an Achiever’s Certificate.
All other participants will receive a Participation Certificate for each phase of the competition.

Transfer of Registration Fee

All registration fees must be paid via wire transfer only.
Cash payments will not be accepted under any circumstances
